Nola Carveth (Samantha Eggar) is a young woman who leads a very troubled life. So much so, that her husband Frank Carveth (Art Hindle) has taken her to a psychiatrist (Oliver Reed) so that she can receive the help she so desperately needs. The doctor uses unusually bizarre methods to treat his patients. When the couple’s daughter shows up beaten and bruised, claiming her mother attacked her, Frank begins to question the doctor’s methods. One day the couple are brutally attacked by a gang of mysterious and badly deformed children, which Frank attributes to the treatment, and now they must run for their lives if they are to survive.
